After my role with a distributed team I moved into an Analyst Role for the Search team within REA. There we focused on delivering the search solution to the Realestate.com.au website using technologies like Elasticsearch and Scala to index and return the correct results based on the Consumer's search.

Within realestate.com.au I joined the internal Search team. There I assisted in redefining our legacy systems into state of the art new technology using search applications like Elasticsearch. By doing this we were able to migrate all the sold listings onto the new platform and implement better search matching.

At Realestate.com.au I was involved in taking our team on their Agile journey. I set-up our team's iteration wall, ran retros, ran inceptions with the business to elicit requirements and was involved in writing stories. The analysis of stories required me to write basic SQL queries to ensure that what the users required was stored in our database and that we could deliver it. As new requirements were defined they were quickly scheduled into our iterations to ensure that they were addressed.

At Ridley I was part of a team that implemented Dynamics Ax in over 20 sites across Australia. I was involved in the setting up of the Dynamics Ax, running sessions to elicit requirements with the key stakeholders within the business, testing the system, was a key player in assisting with the specification of a new transport module that was written internally for the project, writing training material, training the users across all the sites in the Trade and Logistics module, some Finance and Procurement.

During my time at Venture South Africa as well as Venture DMG I was involved in the roll out of Axapta where as a BA I had to liase with the CEO, Financial Director as well as Managers and the end users to ensure that the solution that we were rolling out suited everyone's needs and the budget. I was also involved in the EDI (Electornic Data Interchange) solution that an external party wrote for the company. I had to gather all the supporting information, write the specification for the system, test the system and ensure it was integrated seamlessly with our customers EDI system. As Venture is a multi-national company, this solution had to adhere to many international requirements. Within this role I was also involved in rolling out Axapta to some of our international branches in Shanghai and Detroit. I travelled to both these sites in order to do the final on-site training and tweak the system for their specific needs. Both of these implementations posed their own set of challenges which we overcame successfully. During this time I had to support the local and international branches by using remote desktop whenever the need arose.
