Ik houd me met verschillende thema’s bezig. In de afgelopen jaren heb ik veel praktijkonderzoek gedaan naar jongeren, diversiteit, sociaal ondernemerschap, arbeidsparticipatie, sociale inclusie en welzijn. Vaak ligt er minder nadruk op het perspectief van de groep zelf. Door middel van verhalen en het gebruik van foto’s probeer ik dat meestal wel te doen. Vaak ligt er minder nadruk op het perspectief van de groep zelf. Door middel van verhalen en het gebruik van foto’s probeer ik dat meestal wel te doen. Zo hebben participanten vaak zelf ook voordeel bij het deelnemen aan het onderzoek, in plaats van dat zij alleen maar geven. Een vorm van participatief onderzoek pur sang. De verschillende onderzoeksbenaderingen die ik gebruik zijn: 1. Kwalitatieve onderzoeksbenadering, in de vorm van interviews, maar denk ook aan transcripties van leernetwerk bijeenkomsten, workshops etc.2. Kwantitatieve onderzoeksbenadering zoals het gebruik van vragenlijsten en de analyse met SPSS.3. Vanaf één april mag ik mijzelf adviescommissielid met een wetenschappelijke achtergrond noemen bij fonds ZOZ, een fonds dat kunstenaars en andere creatievelingen ondersteunt, die zich willen inzetten voor de Nederlandse samenleving.
