Born in Belém, Brazil. After acquiring a bachelor's degree in Geology from Federal University of Pará (Brazil), received a grant from Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and acquired a master's degree in Environmental Engineering from Ehime University (Japan), followed by a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Ehime University performing research on GIS-based landslide hazard mapping with machine learning methods and radar-acquired data. Currently a member of the Research & Development Team at Canaan Geo Research Co., Ltd. in Matsuyama, Japan, working with ground penetrating radar (GPR).Skills include GIS platforms, python programming language and machine learning techniques. Fluent in Portuguese, English and Japanese (N2 level).Interested in remote sensing, GPR, machine learning, structural geology, urban planning, and planetary geology.
