Existing activities should be retained and new research activities should be developed.

Building a network with investigators and key opinion leaders in a highly competitive field. Management of ongoing long-term observational studies and start of >15 new local study protocols in adult- and pediatric pituitary disease have been started. Introduction of an orphan drug for acromegaly and registry for the EMEA. Membership the International Scientific Board for the Northern European Region of a world-wide phase IV study (KIMS).

Providing a bridge between clinical research and the marketing and sales department. Development of local phase IIIB and phase IV studies and building a network with investigators and physicians and regulatory authorities. Writing of a reimbursement dossier. Replacement of the product manager e.g. development of product strategy and training of sales staff.

Building a professional Medical Information (MI) Unit within the Medical Department. Re-organization of the Drug Safety (DS) Unit.
