Every child is a different kind of flower and all together they make this world a beautiful garden." - Fred Rogers. I believe in nurturing each child's unique strengths and abilities, recognizing that diversity enriches our community. As an educator, I aim to plan lessons that provide them with individualized experiences to make learning meaningful for them, where each child can blossom and thrive. When I was 12, I had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Port Klang, Malaysia to teach and interact with refugees. Despite the language barriers and differences among all the children and their unfavorable school conditions, the smiles on their faces and their pure willingness to learn fueled my love for children and motivated me to pursue a path in Early Childhood. In my years of studies, I have gotten the chance to embark on yearly practicums. Through 2 practicums, I have managed to apply and practice the knowledge I have gained in school hands-on. These experiences have honed my classroom management, adaptability in a classroom, and communication skills with teachers, parents, and even the children. Additionally, I was required to plan and implement 3 different lesson plans targeting the children's different learning areas and was always open and valued feedback from my host teachers as well as supervisors. I have also been involved in school-wide events such as Freshmen Orientation in 2023 and 2024, where I was a Lead Facilitator for a group of freshmen, in charge of their orientation programs for over 2 days. Moreover, I was blessed with the opportunity to go on a YEP trip to Chiang Rai, Thailand for a service-learning trip. Through these various opportunities, I have grown to be a better version of myself, strengthening my leadership, problem-solving, and collaboration skills while working with others for a common goal. Working part-time for the past 2 years has also built my teamwork, communication with the team, and customer service skills when dealing with customers. With a passion for fostering curiosity, compassion, and lifelong learning in every child, I am dedicated to creating engaging and inclusive environments that support holistic development, that will shape bright young minds to be the future of our next generation.
