I specialize in tutoring students with learning disabilities using a developmental approach that is constantly modified to better suit the student. Before each tutoring session, I will do my usual preparation along with reading papers and studies about what works best for students with that disorder. After each session, I would write session notes, detailing what was covered during the tutoring session as well as my personal insights. These notes would be sent to the parents as well as the student's teachers. These one-on-one session are personally catered to each student focusing on their strengths and talents in order to inspire them to take charge of their own education.

SEA CLEAR is a student initiated, student run project that aims to encourage students to pursue higher education in order to advocate for communities that might face social and political marginalization, while simultaneously uplifting their own. As a peer counselor, I work with students in a one-on-one setting to connect them to resources, help them navigate academic policies, and set personal and academic goals. I work closely with students who are struggling academically, especially those who have a GPA below a 2.0. As Wellness Coordinator, I program wellness workshops that deconstruct the mental health stigma rooted within our culture of silence and challenge students to explore how their wellness affects their personal and educational experiences. I run a workgroup that programs events of which include: a Thai Temple Day Retreat, SEA Queer Panel, and Self-Defense Workshop. Through my work, I hope to inspire students to prioritize their wellness in the sometimes overwhelming academic environment in order to find empowerment within themselves.
