I specialise in English Pronunciation Coaching for non-native speakers of English working in international companies where the lingua franca of business is English, or speakers who have clients based in the UK, US and/or other English-speaking markets.Rather than having casual conversations in English, I help my students dig deep into English pronunciation, by focusing on the phonetics of the English language and picking apart native speech patterns, as well as equipping my students with the knowledge, tools and confidence to articulate English speech sounds more effectively.I also help my learners distinguish and produce phonemes that do not necessarily exist in their native tongue, putting a spotlight on one's speech organs, thereby improving their awareness of precisely how they are producing spoken English language.I also work on debunking several misconceptions around English pronunciation, and help my learners to navigate the somewhat inconsistent and obscure relationship between the written form (spelling) and the spoken form (pronunciation).Last but by no means least, I tailor my sessions to meet my students' individual needs and tackle areas of weakness unique to them. This may include guiding my learners with any (anxiety-provoking) pitches or presentations they might have to make in their line of work, allowing the necessary 'rehearsal time' prior to the demanding work event in question and providing tailored feedback.
