Dignitas operates within five informal settlements across Nairobi.As a member within senior management I provide overall strategic support to programming while coordinating advocacy activities and government partnerships in order to scale the implementation of the projects and increase sustainability.

Africa Educational Trust provides education to children and adults affected by conflict and poverty in Eastern Africa.As a Country Manager, I provided institutional leadership to implement major donor funded programs. I managed the Kenya portfolio with at least 500,000 USD each year, established partnerships and pursued grant applications ranging from $100,000 to $1,000,000 from major donors, corporates and private foundations; this expanded the number of projects to benefit more beneficiaries. Successfully supported the implementation of a complex social program in Somalia supporting People With Disabilities with funding from the European Union while achieving EU implementation guidelines. This project led to policy engagements inclusive learning for young adults with disabilities and was adopted by the government in Somalia in its national policy.

I organized and coordinated field visits by key stakeholders including the Regional Education Learning Initiative and the Deputy Director in charge of Curriculum in Kenya, facilitating their visits to Laikipia North which led to policy discussions on developing literacy curriculum for low skilled adults.I also supported the overall implementation of local and national programs by working with other colleagues on day to day operations, supporting planning and reporting impact.

Arranged logistics and managed staff transfers within different locations, procured and supervised delivery of goods to project locations in South Sudan, Uganda, Somalia.Organized and coordinated logistical arrangements during workshops in Nairobi that brought together about 1000 attendees.Involved in desktop research and contributed towards the development of the organization's strategic plan.

Women Educational Researchers of Kenya (WERK) is a professional association of researchers in education and social science that advocates for democratic principals and gender equality by linking research to action and advocacy.I facilitated data collection training workshop in Samburu County; designed a training methodology and implementation plan and supported training under the Wasichana Wote Wasome Project. I also rolled out the training plan for research assistants and enumerators in Samburu County.

INASP is an international development charity working with a global network of partners to improve access, production and use of research information and knowledge, so that countries are equipped to solve development challenges.Researched, and generated a paper on evidence informed policymaking.Generated a paper titled ‘An investigative study on the use of evidence informed research in scrutinizing policy by Parliament: A case of Kenya’s BioSafety ACT, 2009.

PEPEA AFRICA is an organization that works within health, education, climate change and poverty reduction initiatives through capacity building and community empowerment.I coordinated research activities in primary schools within Muranga,organized and managed training workshops, sourced and procured materials needed to facilitate all activities pertaining to the project.In addition, I conducted a needs assessment exercise across 11 schools in Muranga, organized and facilitated a five-day training workshop for 25 teachers from different schools in Muranga; setting up and managing school libraries. I also coordinated delivery of donation books to 11 schools.

University of the Western Cape (UWC) is a public university located in the City of Cape Town in South Africa.As an intern at the University's Centre for Writing; I developed a structured coaching methodology for undergraduate students and a monitoring template that was used to follow up on individual learner’s progress in improving their writing skills. I also mentored top students and ensured that they remained on track with the program deliverables and played the role of an intermediary between students and their lecturers to encourage strong professional networks.
