As the CTO of the startup, Ngon's responsibility is to design the system architecture and code some core parts of the system in Python. He also plays an important role in shaping the company product and strategy

As the CTO, Ngon is responsible for building a strong engineer team, a data-obsessed culture and top-in-class logistics technology products.

Webtretho is the largest community for women in Vietnam with 10M+ monthly active users. The company is funded & backed by IDG Ventures Vietnam. As the Chief Engineer & CTO, Ngon's responsibility is to build a strong engineer team as well as a robust scalable system to serve millions of users per month. He also works directly with the product team in outlining the design, researches and codes some new ideas to develop competitive advantage for the company. The company was acquired by Line in 2018

Caterva (http://caterva.com) is a funded US Big Data start-up (by Illinois Ventures, RPM Ventures, Serra Ventures) aiming to organize the world's social graph by people and interests. The company main product, Mirror.me, reveals to individuals the virtualized identities that they project across the social web (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+). As the lead engineer, Ngon's responsibility is to design, code and manage some core parts of the system include: the web server (Tomcat, Spring, Solr), the database (MongoDB, MySQL), the crawler (Java) and data analyzed tasks (Hadoop); help to scale the system to hundred millions of profiles (AWS). The company was acquired by Facebook in 2013.

In this position, Ngon worked directly with Google Search Specialist team in Mountain View to improve search quality for Vietnamese and experimented Google new features before they were officially launched in Vietnam market, contributed to increase Google.com.vn ranking from #3 to #1 according to Alexa during this time.

SkyDoor (http://www.skydoor.net) is a start-up company targeting online travel industry. The site is currently one of the most popular travel portals in Vietnam with more than 1 million visits per month. As the Lead Engineer, Ngon took responsibility for designing the system architecture (Backend: Tomcat + Spring, Frontend: GWT, Google Maps, Android) and coding backend APIs.

Agile Mobile is a mobile startup focusing on instant messenger software. The company set up a development team in Vietnam in 2007 to target web 2.0 applications besides the main mobile team in Europe. In this position, Ngon worked as lead back-end engineer and took responsibility for building back-end services (Tomcat, Java, Spring, PostgreSQL) to serve the mobile app (J2ME) and web client (Silverlight).
