During and following my MS program, I worked as an RA researching learning-based control for robotic manipulators. My focus was on multiobjective control where "success" is sparsely-defined. I developed a novel model predictive controller and performed hardware validation, deploying it on a UR5e manipulator. I additionally:- Engineered and trained neural networks in PyTorch to predict future robot states- Wrote entire Python stack for simulation, dataset generation, control, and analysis- Communicated my work to teammates and project stakeholders

Investigated soft, socially-legible robotic control in pedestrian environments with reinforcement learning.Tested deep reinforcement learning methods, such as Rainbow and DQN on the resultant high-dimensional problem.Designed simulation environments and models for ROS Gazebo.
