As a full-time marketing student at Aurora University, I am excited to graduate this coming spring 2024 with my Bachelor’s Degree and ready to enter the professional workforce. My professional background stems from working at Ace Hardware, one of the largest hardware retailers in the nation. For more than five years, I have held several different positions at Ace Hardware including cashier, head cashier, and eventually floor supervisor. Throughout my time at Ace Hardware, I have gotten the opportunity to work with and manage all different types of people, so adapting to various social and work styles is something that comes easily to me. Additionally, I am capable of cultivating relationships with customers and have mastered problem solving to meet their needs. Since customer service is the backbone of each of my roles, I have been able to seamlessly transition into my position as a receptionist at Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa. There, my role is primarily focused on greeting and tending to every client whether that be in-person or over the phone. Furthermore, I have the opportunity to meet certain sales goals on a monthly basis which requires me to upsell our memberships and products. Most recently, I have accepted a marketing internship position for a private, small business called Speed-Dial, located in Oswego, IL. Because the company has recently been established, I am able to take a creative approach to strategically create company awareness through various social media channels, email marketing, and other marketing initiatives. Upon graduation, I will seek a marketing position that will allow me to apply my dedicated work ethic and marketing/managerial skill set in a professional environment. I am a quick learner who is well-adaptable and has a genuine desire to help a company succeed.
