In May of 2022, I graduated from the MLIS iSchool program at San Jose State University (SJSU). My academic areas of focus included archiving and records management, cataloging, analog & digital preservation and encoded archival description (EAD). Professional experience within the archives and cultural heritage sectors includes appraisal, arrangement, description & finding aid construction, digitization, deaccessioning, user engagement & satisfaction, material deliveries, preservative measures and the rehousing of archival materials. Following graduation, I was a consulting Project Archivist at Cal Lutheran University, where I arranged and described the Elton Gallegly records for public access.I am a member of the Society of American Archivists (SAA) and the Society of California Archivists (SCA). While pursuing my Bachelor's degree in history, at California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI), I gained membership to the Alpha Theta Phi honor society and also served as a member of the Society of American Archivists (SAA) Student Chapter at SJSU, during my graduate tenure. Internship experience in the archiving field included educational training at the Museum of Ventura County and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Archives. Prior to archiving, I worked for fifteen years in retail settings under operational capacities, including roughly a decade in management positions.
