International studies major and military studies minor with a strong interest in national security and defense matters pertaining to countries within the former USSR/Warsaw Pact region. Has a developing background in academic research with strong writing, research and analytical skills.Very interested in working in defense/international affairs-related matters pertaining to the former Warsaw Pact region (though also holding an interest in wider European security matters, such as those pertaining to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization). Specifically, defense matters pertaining to land warfare and combat under near-peer conditions. Has been following defense/geopolitical developments that have occurred as a result of Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine. Also holds a secondary interest in the culture and history of the various ethnicities that make up the region, in particular that of Poland and Ukraine.

  The second part of the program organized by SRAS. During this two week internship, the goal of the students was to write a research paper on international security topics. I chose to do my paper on the Polish Territorial Defence Forces and how the war in Ukraine has validated the concept (more details under projects).
