School never suited me; traditional education often rejected my unconventional thinking. Insurance sales became my proving ground—a place where I honed my skills, learned resilience, and pursued growth.Selling policies wasn’t enough; I wanted to understand what moved people and drove their decisions. That drive led me to study direct-response marketing from icons like David Ogilvy, Howard Gossage, Dan Kennedy, and Eugene Schwartz. Their insights fueled my passion for creating messages that resonated deeply and inspired action.Seven years into my career, I took a leap of faith and launched my own independent agency. It was a high-risk move—my wife was seven months pregnant, we had no financial safety net, and I worked nights as a process server to support our dream. Despite sleepless nights and mounting uncertainty, I kept going, building our business one policy at a time.Amid the struggle, I discovered my calling when I co-founded the Insurance Agency Owners Alliance (IAOA), a national group committed to helping insurance agents succeed. This experience made it clear: personal success is hollow unless it uplifts others. Supporting others became a core part of my mission.During my career as an agency owner, I became disillusioned and frustrated with the technology available, so I set out to creat "change". I, along with friends launched Better Agency, an automated CRM for independent insurance agents, I transformed a simple idea into a market leader, serving over 2,500 independent agents. My journey from a struggling entrepreneur to an innovator and advocate in the insurance industry reflects resilience, vision, and a commitment to empowering others.I’m a passionate advocate for independent agents, a storyteller at heart, and someone who believes true transformation is about more than personal wins—it’s about elevating others.
