Design-build project for private defense contractor at Cummins Research Park, near Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. This "Solutions Complex" expands capabilities in research and development and production for aerospace, cyber and defense products. The facility is 226,000 square feet, with 110,000 square feet of laboratories and manufacturing space; 116,500 square feet of office/conference space; a 10K clean room; vacuum chamber, environmental testing, PCB assembly, and instrumentation laboratories; and high- and low-bay areas. This exciting complex is where researchers will build drone simulators, a robot to explore the moon, and other cutting-edge technologies.The office is made up of one underground level for secure offices and an employee training area, and three levels above grade containing a conference area with a catering kitchen, company display space and administrative spaces. The project included extensive landscaping, and the rear of the building is accessed by approximately 50,000 square feet of concrete hardstand.
