At InterMountain Management I've had a chance to touch nearly every aspect of the network and IT side of hotel management.From Azure administration to working in hotel network rooms to streamline and future proof internal and brand networks. I've picked apart, simplified, untangled, and rebuilt enough network rooms to make one myself.

With my knowledge and experience with 3D printers and 3D modeling software, I decided to start a small business selling 3D printed miniatures on Etsy.I tuned my printer to perfection to print small (~1cm) figurines, paint them, package them, and mail them out. I had ~80 orders in less than 4 weeks and was making a large profit due to the low cost of a single 3D printed unit.I had to stop because I was getting so many orders and needed to focus on college.Primary accomplishments:> Studied the market for 3D printed items to create a product that there was interest in and would sell.> Learned to differentiate my product from the competition.> Produced my products with 3D printing experience for less than $2 each, keeping profit margins wide.> Gained knowledge on running a small business, marketing, and efficient product production.

I worked for Catholic High School as a part of their IT department and Help Desk. We spent nights, weekends, and summers managing the entirety of the technology used by all the faculty, staff, and students (including the 1200 students laptops).I spent my time troubleshooting (software and hardware), repairing, refurbishing, cleaning, imaging, and organizing laptops. I would help students who came in with hardware issues, software issues, network issues, and anything else they managed to break (a lot).Other significant experience I gained during my 5+ years working for this IT department include:> Setting up, tuning, maintaining, and cleaning projectors.> Running networking and power cables through existing infrastructure to connect various devices and network switches to allow for smooth integration of technology into the student experience.> Providing technical support for students and staff members when issues would arise or something failed.> Working as in house IT support for large groups during events and incoming student laptop setup.> Virus and malware removal and troubleshooting.

I worked in Louisiana Tech's 24 hour printing lab maintaining the 3D printers and the normal industrial printers for the university. Prior to this job I had worked with my own 3D printer for 6+ years. As such, I have ample knowledge of geometric 3D modeling, 3D printer slicing software, 3D printer repair and maintenance, 3D printer tuning, and 3D printer troubleshooting.I had owned two 3D printers for about 6 or so years prior to this job that I have worked on, modified, fixed (so many times), and just generally used to teach myself everything 3D printing.Skills acquired from this job as a Printer Technician:> How to troubleshoot, maintain, and work large office type printers.> Improved 3D printer skills with a new set of 3D printers.
