CurrentMy responsibilities as a Research Associate in the Analytical Department at DMC Biotechnologies are as follows:● Adherence to in-house SOPs during the preparation and analysis of bacterial metabolite samples using HPLC, UPLC, LC-MS, and UV-Vis spectophotometry.● Preparation of standard materials, moblie phase, and other reagents needed to carry out various SOPs as needed.● Maintenance, monitoring, and repair as needed of Waters™ Liquid Chromatography instruments to ensure consistent functioning for day-to-day testing schedules.● Development of qualified HPLC, UPLC, and LC-MS methods for quantifying new target metabolites or products of bacterial fermentation depending on upstream project goals.● Development of new SOPs for sample preparation and handling as new products and metabolites are added to meet research project goals.● Implementation and use of LabGuru ELN software to document all experimental sample preparations, method development experiments, and stock preparations according to in-house SOPs.● Implementation and use of LabGuru ELN software to apply statistical analysis and report data for samples coming from upstream processes.● Communication within an interdisciplinary, multi-department, multi-site team to ensure that data turn-around for the Molecular Biology/Genomics and Fermentation departments occurs quickly to allow for data-driven project decisions within those departments.● Alignment of personal day-to-day activities with OKRs set forth by Business Development and the analytical department supervisor to meet corporate KPIs for attracting investors.● Training of other research associates on procedures used in the Analytical Department.
