Naval Architect on the AWD Program with direct responsibility for all launches, dockings, inclinings, weight management and sea trials certification of the Hobart Class DDGs.ASC Engineering Domain Authority (EDA) and RAN NTRS level 3 Naval Architect on the AWD project, experience included:Weight management of the Hobart Class from steel cut through to end of delivery voyage to FBE;AWD launch, docking and alongside wharf management;ASC Shipbuilding Engineering liaison with Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI);Inclining experiment design, planning, execution, and report generation to tight schedules;Co-ordination of technical certification for all Hobart Class sea trials and delivery voyages, with the relevant regulatory authorities (AMSA, NTB); Developed class specific procedures and trained ships crew in stability management at sea (trials and in service crews)Platform engineering management of manoeuvring system procurement/install/set to work;Translated class society requirements into shipbuilding practices and shipyard requirements; Set and managed watertight boundary and tank testing requirements to Lloyd's Rules, with follow up support to production and Test and Activation teams; Developed technical requirements for various sub-contracted workscopes; Block survey and CoG measurement prior to consolidation lifts;

Master of Philosophy (by research) in Naval Architecture.The project involved Validation of a 'Human in The Loop' sailing simulator. The simulator was developed prior to this project by a team from AMC, University of Melbourne and industry Partner Virtual Sailing. The scope of work included full scale experimental and subsequent simulator testing, in order to obtain the first validation data set to assess simulator performance.Submitted in March 2014, graduated in December 2014.

Lectured and tutored students in fundamental drafting, 3D modelling and hull modelling techniques. Lessons were conducted using Dassault Catia, AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Maxsurf and Rhinoceros.
