I was involved in writing, reviewing and strategic development of clinical and basic science research papers, reviews and letters for submission to peer-reviewed journals and other publication purposes on behalf of pharmaceutical companies and academic authors. I also performed language editing of articles, abstracts, posters, oral presentations and grant applications for non-native-English-speaking authors.

I was the lead writer on over 100 separate primary and secondary manuscripts, including clinical research papers, reviews and letters, for submission to peer-reviewed journals. I was also involved in development of content for submission to and presentation at international scientific congresses/symposia. I attended numerous workshops, advisory boards, congresses, and symposia as a medical writer tasked with developing meeting reports for internal and strategic purposes.

I was involved in sports science and epidemiological research, focusing on childhood health and obesity in the London Sport Institute, as part of Middlesex University.

I worked as a research assistant in the Department of Diabetes and Molecular Medicine, where I completed my PhD on a part-time basis. My lab-based research focused on the biochemical and hormonal effects of dietary interventions as a precursor to type 2 diabetes. I helped supervise several research students and co-authored 12 peer-reviewed articles.
