Technology responsibilities:• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.• Monitoring systems infrastructure health and performance and addressing issues as required• Provide Tier 2/3 support per request from various departments. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.• Provide Tier 1 technical after hours support for Enterprise Systems and Infrastructure.• Participate in major technical initiatives across the work-group such as virtual infrastructure and enterprise storage life cycle management and audit compliance.• Support Enterprise environment with Intel-based VMware ESXi 4.x/5.x servers, Microsoft Windows servers, and DNS configuration and management• Serve as a technical consultant on projects and on call situations as needed.• Serve as an escalation point for operational technical issues at the team level.• Participate in root cause analysis for incidents as required.• Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality.• Remain current on industry trends and new technologies and provide recommendations for future initiatives.• Proactively develops plans and activities to avoid problems• Monthly Server patching (Microsoft Servers and VMware host’s)Support & Communication responsibilities:• Key contributor to the Technical Services team.• Contribute to a variety of teams (Backup, Storage and Network) to proactively address support issues.• Maintain status on all assigned work.• Evaluate and recommend process improvements.• Document technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned work for later reference.• Exhibit professional qualities and conduct business and communicate in a professional and courteous manner.
