Nicholas Downs is a film, television and stage actor, who has also appeared in many National Television ads. Originally from Iowa, Downs is one of ten children. He fell in love with acting the moment he first discovered a stage and has been working on his craft ever since. His feature film roles include both Hollywood blockbusters (Pearl Harbor, The Girl Next Door, Constantine, The Holiday) as well as award winning indie features (16 to Life, The Awakening of Spring, Anderson’s Cross). Downs can be seen on hit television shows including Cold Case, Castle, Boston Public, The Young and the Restless and Make it or Break it. This has been a busy couple years for Downs, who was cast in leading roles in the feature films, Is It Just Me? (winner of numerous festival awards) - and The Apocalypse According to Doris. Downs has traveled internationally to promote Is It Just Me? and 16 to Life at film festivals. In Detroit, Is It Just Me? won Best Feature at the DIFF and in Hawaii it won the prestigious Rainbow Award.Downs is attached to a number of feature films including, Popcorn Ceiling and Prep School to name a couple. He is also in several up-coming projects, including the narrative film Homecoming and the comedy web series Sloppy Taco?Downs has also been producing as of late. He co-produced the follow up feature to Is It Just Me? – called, eCupid. He also has produced a pilot for a kid’s television show, 2cool4school, that he also has a series regular role in.
