As the lead researcher on Al-Shabaab, I authored a forthcoming report on children recruited by Al-Shabaab, which analyzes the group's methods of recruitment, children's experiences in Al-Shabaab, and the ways in which children are used by the group. I also created an in depth profile of the group's history, organization, leadership, and strategy. Finally, I created a data set which tracks the group's attacks, particularly those which harm, target or involve children.

As a research assistant at the CSS, I have assisted in a variety of research projects and papers. Most recently, I worked on a quantitative analysis of civil wars (1945-present), for which I compiled an original data set, wrote case reports for each war, coded each conflict according to various features, then analyzed the data set using STATA.
