I have high hopes of becoming the first registered nurse in my family. In high school, I discovered I had two major loves: biology and people. What better way to combine these things than becoming a full-time nurse? Currently enjoying my sophomore year at the University of Texas at Arlington, I anticipate graduating from nursing school in 2017 and becoming a certified pediatric nurse. Then I'll be able to help sick kids feel better!Right now I run a lawn care business with my brother. The work is enjoyable, but what I'm really looking around for is a job in a hospital. Even though I may not be experienced in the health system, I feel I'm completely capable of the challenges that come with nursing. I can work independently and get the job done on my own or I can work with people and be a team player. With this flexibility on top of my passion for the nursing world, I'm resolved to be the best RN I can for the field.

  The Cutting Edge Lawn Service is the business brainchild of my oldest brother, Andrew. It began as an effort to make a little extra money during the summer and soon evolved into a bit of a local tycoon. Over the years, Cutting Edge has been passed down to me and my twin brother, Nathan. Every weekend, we load up our truck and drive around the area, working our way down the list of clients who need their yards cleaned and maintained. The experience I've had in the lawn business has been fantastic. Not only has it been a great way to spend time with my brother, being in Cutting Edge has also taught me an important lesson on working independently and answering questions for myself.
