Arranged for and coordinated with the legal team. Also conducted many of the other small activities a start-up school requires.

One of 16 fellows selected for a full time, graduate level, experiential leadership training program to prepare effective, moral leaders in public affairs. Intensive training in interviewing, project planning and management. Incorporated seven individual placements. Projects included:• The Doe Run Company; Designed a roll-out plan for $600 million lead mining company’s new business strategy involving three different methods of employee contact with every individual. The plan was fully implemented in just over nine months.• Webster Groves Parks and Recreation Department; Developed the marketing plan for their new gym, including research into the effectiveness of their previous marketing efforts and timelines for implementation.• The Crime Victim Advocacy Center; Researched and wrote a report which was released to St. Louis medical centers detailing current and recommended policies for treating victims of crime.

Identified bacteria in rivers and caves using statistical genetic sequencing techniques. Developed a method to add “error correcting bar-codes” to samples when sequencing large mixed batches.

Evaluated proteins for use as biomarkers and conducted related research.
