- Quality Assurance Inspector, ensured work performed followed the rigorous rules set forth in various technical authority documentation and certification guidelines (P-9290/ABS). Witness controlled assemblies, tests and inspections, and cleaning- Performed preventive and corrective maintenance of certified mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and life support systems on manned submersibles. All work performed on oxygen systems in accordance with MIL-STD-1330.- Performed overhauls of valves, hydraulic actuators, hydraulic valve packs, mechanical latching systems, subsea thrusters, and hydraulic compensators.- Proficient in the use of common hand tools and testing equipment to include but not limited to, torque wrenches, digital multimeters, hydrostatic test rigs/vessels, soldering stations, micrometers, durometers, and fillet gauges.- Member of the Advance Travel Team for Submarine Rescue, responsible for surveying the deck of the selected Vessel of Opportunity to be used for operations. Survey includes identifying fuel/water tank locations, no weld zones, structural bulkheads, deck obstructions, sounding tubes and other interferences to aid in the installation of the Submarine Rescue System- In the absence of the Lead Mechanical Technician performed duties as assigned to include CWP review, mobilization supervision, and tasking of technicians.- Test Director for the post-installation static and dynamic load, and functional testing of the SRS Launch and Recovery System (LARS) A-Frame. A critical milestone performed during mobilization of the SRS and witnessed by the attending ABS Surveyor to ensure the systems is safe for manned operations. Senior LARS Operator for the SRS.- Recognized by leadership by being selected as the Employee of the Quarter following sustained superior performance as a senior technician providing mentorship and guidance to less experience technicians.
