Commanded the Atlantic Fleet Amphibious Task Forces comprised of 12,500 Sailors and Marines serving onboard 14 ships and 10 deployable commands. Oversight and management of warfighting readiness and worldwide deployment to conduct missions of major combat operations, amphibious warfare, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief in support of civil authorities.

Directed complex maritime operations of 90,000 Sailors, 121 ships / submarines and over 1500 aircraft in the Atlantic Fleet in support two Combatant Commands through a 24/7 operation center. Executed leadership of over 50 cross-functional teams to deter, detect, and defend the homeland of the United States.

Directed a division to conduct the annual analysis of the Department of Defense Base Budget for 8 Combatant Commands and 4 Services to provide budgetary support recommendations for the Chairman of the Joint Staff to shape the strategic resourcing of the Department of Defense.

Commanded two warships, USS Stout (DDG 55) and USS Vella Gulf (CG 72) and served operational assignments on USS San Jacinto (CG 56), USS Laboon (DDG 58), USS Princeton (CG 59), and Carrier Strike Group Two aboard USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77). Seagoing career around the world, from the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian Oceans, to the Baltic, Mediterranean, Red, and Black Seas. Participated in numerous operations to include Desert Shield/Storm, Iraqi Freedom, New Dawn and Enduring Freedom. Pentagon tours as as the budget analyst for Surface Warfare Division in OPNAV (N76), NATO defense planner and budget officer for Strategy and Policy Division in OPNAV (N51), a budget analyst for the Program Budget Analysis Division (PBAD) on the Joint Staff (J-8).
