The urgency is clear: without intervention, children remain trapped in dependence, unable to contribute to their societies. Despite 30 years of democracy, South Africa still ranks among the worst globally in educating its underprivileged children—a crisis we can no longer ignore.Albert Einstein said, “You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it.” I believe we need a fresh approach—one that harnesses the power of the Impact Revolution. During my time as COO at an ECD-focused NPO, I discovered three key truths:Traditional ECD solutions cannot scale sustainably to meet growing needs.Modern solutions—powered by technology, disruptive entrepreneurship, and impact measurement—can provide scalable results.Many traditional NPOs fear change and resist more business-like, scalable approaches.Incremental change is no longer enough. We must embrace the potential of the Impact Revolution to drive meaningful, large-scale change. As former Head of Operations for ADP Clearing South Africa, I built a highly profitable subsidiary from the ground up.
