As a 3rd Mate at HORNBECK OFFSHORE®, I was responsible for deck operations and navigation on board vessels that supported the offshore oil and gas industry. I applied my skills and knowledge in vessel handling, safety, and compliance to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of cargo and personnel. I also contributed to the maintenance and inspection of the vessels and equipment, and participated in emergency drills and procedures. Previously, I worked as a Deckhand at Crescent Towing for over seven years, where I assisted in the docking and undocking of ships, barges, and other vessels in the ports of New Orleans, Savannah, and Mobile. I also served as an AB at Jackson Offshore Operators LLC for 11 months, where I performed various duties on board offshore supply vessels. I hold a degree in Marine Transportation from Texas A&M University Galveston Campus, where I learned the fundamentals of maritime operations, laws, and regulations. I am passionate about the marine industry and its role in the global economy and environment. I am always eager to learn new skills and take on new challenges in this dynamic and rewarding field.
