Working for the South Carolina Department of Pesticide Regulation, I have gotten the opportunity to communicate with departments from other states to work with them on learning if applicators from their states are up to date on their licenses so that they can continue to be licensed in South Carolina. I have been helping in our licensing process by helping grade exams and entering them into our database. I have also worked with other departments in our office complex and gotten to tour many of our labs, such as our Agricultural Services Lab and our Fertilizer Lab. This position has been full of development and learning opportunities that have helped me grow in my knowledge and skills.

As a sales intern at my State Farm office, I would be making at least 400 calls and 400 texts a week, reaching out to potential clients to offer free insurance quoting to see if we could beat their current rates. I would gather their information so that we could process it through our system to give our best estimate. I would help current customers pay their bills, whether over the phone or by walk in. I was always at the ready to answer any questions customers may have had about their current policy or opportunities for discounts and additions to their policies.
