Nicholas Tupe’d across to Connect Plus Services in 2009 as Route Manager for the northern half of the M25 Motorway Network including stubs and tails, supporting the Route Manager and Performance Manager in line with the Connect Plus DBFO Contract.As custodian of the Watchman Role, my role is to utilise information gathered to develop long term strategies and improvement proposals for the network and operations. Responsible for establishing key relationships within the CPS organisation and outside agencies, to maintain contact with relevant planning bodies to ensure awareness of future developments which in turn could generate new improvement schemes. Use information gathered to produce proposals and recommendations for improvement schemes, and other actions which will have the potential to improve performance of the project facilities.To manage the day to day street works requirements for the CPS contract. To co-ordinate all street works undertaken within our contract and ensure that these are completed to specification and with minimum disruption.In my role I am also the senior winter service decision maker and responsible for decision making training for the M25 DBFO contract.

Scratchwood

Nicholas joined Mouchel in 1999 and is currently Deputy Route Manager North for the Highways Agency Area 5 Contract (M25 Sphere). He has 10 years Highway Civil Engineering experience, focussing on Motorway and Trunk Road management. During this time, he has been involved in a wide range of maintenance & improvement schemes for the Highways Agency, within Hertfordshire and the south east region.In this role he provides leadership on financial budgeting, project delivery, resourcing, planning and performance matters. Nick is committed to motivating and developing his team through mentoring, knowledge & organising training through the PPA & PPD process.Working in the Mouchel Group has presented Nick with the opportunities to demonstrate his ability to work within high pressure situations and deliver to tight, often demanding deadlines in challenging incident environments. Nick joined Mouchel group with no civil engineering background but with hard work & perseverance has worked his way to Route Manager.
