DevelopmentMy primary focus has been aiding the implementation of the company's main project to move the housing management system onto Microsoft Dynamics. I have worked within many different areas with this project including technical discussions on solution design, security and access, environment build and setup, as well as reporting and monitoring. I have collaborated alongside 3rd parties and internal teams making use of the agile methodologies and the scrum framework.I also work on specific proof of concept projects for the company making use of CI/CD pipelines as well as a repository backup system using Azure storage accounts, all with the intent to improve the quality of our software releases.SupportI work on support tickets to ensure that all users that are live on our systems can continue to work to the best of their ability and keep fulfilling our customer needs. I have done this in person and remotely gaining experience in troubleshooting issues as well as clearly communicating instructions to users.TrainingI have been involved in the training of new users on both the new Dynamics system and our bespoke business app. This included providing demos as well as explaining the specific reasoning behind the changes to the system.TestingI spent time working closely with our internal testers as well as 3rd parties to gain experience writing and using DevOps test plans and Selenium for automated tests. This has given me an insight into how different parts of application lifecycles function.

Throughout my apprenticeship I have been building apps and automations along with building code in C# and a bit of PowerShell to help bring the companies development in-house as well as streamline company processes, this has helped me gain experience with time management, communication and the basics of project lifecycles. I created a new business process to optimise the completion of electrical testing of a property, using PowerApps, Power Automate flows, SQL Stored Procedures, SSRS reports and HTTP requests to web services. The process was taken from a very clunky manual process to a mostly automated process, and the time to sign a certificate came down from over a day to a couple of hours. On top of the work, I also attended training sessions as part of my apprenticeship ranging from introduction to Microsoft Azure to courses on Human skills and their importance in the workplace. I have learned many different valuable lessons and learnt a lot about myself throughout the two years that will definitely help me in my professional career.

I worked with Carlisle Support Services at Cheltenham racecourse as an Event Steward for just over a year where I was required to make sure events run smoothly and ensure customer support and security. In addition to race days, I worked on many of the other events at the racecourse such as comedy shows and half marathons.

I worked at Cobnor Activity Centre teaching sailing using my RYA Dinghy Instructor qualification for school residentials and day sails. I have received site-specific training to be able to teach multiple activities my main ones are sailing and Rock climbing. This gave me strong communication skills and group management.
