Senior Transportation Coordinator
Current• Responsible for establishing and maintaining the smooth operation of Newsday’s Transportation Department and to help provide 24/7 coverage.• Work with Director to complete weekly budget analysis for Union employee compensation using reports generated from ADP Etime.• Serve as secondary user of RouteSmart by ArcGis in order to reorganize driver work to maximize effiency.• Accurately complete Union and Non-Union payroll in ADP Etime as required.• Responsible for updating all reports in Microsoft Excel for new hires, driver job changes, additional delivery locations, etc.• Provide general support for the Transportation Supervisors, Director Transportation and Manager, Distribution Operations.• Review all Transportation documentation/forms submitted by Drivers and Dock PICs and disseminate to applicable departments at the end of a shift. (i.e. daily truck inspection, vehicle condition reports, fuel reports, distribution shortage reports, driver transmissions).• Resolve distribution/driver service problems and reviews weekly distribution records/driver logs before submission to Manager, Distribution Operations & Director Transportation.• Responsible for compliance and knowledge with Federal Department of Transportation regulations and other safety standards. Provide coverage of open supervisory shifts when needed.
