Oversee technician projects and manning. Lead designer, integrater and programmer for all robotic applications within the facility. Provide expert troubleshooting skills for robotic, Ethernet IP, pneumatic valving and safety wiring issues.

As an Automation Engineer, we worked on installation of new injection molding take out robots. We designed, wired, and programmed Nachi, Fanuc and ABB robots as material handling robots. Within the cell we would also have secondary equipment or robots to help fully automate a press picking robot. This included gate cutting robots, clip application robots and/or clip application bowl feeders and programmed auto pack out solutions to reduce labor. Troubleshoot robot and EOAT issues and repaired as necessary to ensure the robot and press stayed in production.

In this role, I overseen all the aspects of new production launches from the design phase through production readiness. Toyota and Chrysler were the two main customers for this position. Worked directly with the customer on design feasibility as well as costing and timing. Worked with Quality Engineers during prototype, gauge R&R, production validation and engineering changes. Coordinated all builds with plant supervisors to have operators run off machines to become a custom to the new secondary equipment. Designed, installed and aided in the programming of our first multi robot material handling cell.

An Engineering Service Technician was responsible for helping maintain the production floor with advanced troubleshooting skills. The primary focus was to ensure that all robotic cells stayed running as best as possible, with all regards to the Plant OEE. This included all robotic weld cells, multi robotic material handling cells and secondary equipment. This position worked directly with Tool & Die to help improve change over efficiency, with the design of quick change fixtures.
