My name is Nick Moore. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Master's degree in Environmental Health Science. I graduated from Mercer University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Working to put myself through junior college and eventually transferring to Mercer University to better my opportunities for professional success has forged a strong work ethic and taught me how to multi-task in team oriented endeavors. I have always striven for a healthy balance of academic success and personal accountability. During my undergraduate degree, I took classes on genetics, molecular biology, physical and analytical chemistry, biochemistry, physics, calculus, and organic chemistry. I have taken part in numerous lab courses which allowed me to gain experience both in the field and in the lab. Many of the labs in my graduate program required field work collecting water samples, water quality data, and water sample culturing. Much of the lab experience I have is related to chemistry and molecular biology as well as aquatic toxicology. Others were basic lab courses, but much of the work accomplished allowed me to gain a variety of knowledge in all aspects of the lab and statistical data analysis. While obtaining my Master's, I took multiple classes on water pollution, aquatic toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental air quality, aquatic microbiology, ecology, environmental toxicology, and several statistics classes where I worked with many different statistical analysis programs. I have over two years of experience with water quality research, wetlands management, and grant proposal writing and reviews.
