Surveying; general, progress surveys, checking levels, checking extents.As-builts; recording the as-builts through surveying, processing them, checking them against accepted tolerances, presenting as an acceptable and digestible resource for others.Setting out; identifying areas of work, putting markers (spray lines, flags, pegs) for guidance for myself and others, either for area, distance, or level.Modelling; obtaining pre-modelling information such as EGLs, using designs and drawings to create an acceptable model within LSS and AutoCAD, converting for use in GPS rover and machines.Site administration; particular in regards to Quality Assurance, preparing and submitting approval of works, completing Site and Quality forms.Site management; attending site meetings, filling out allocation sheets and other necessary forms, instructing operatives about the tasks at hand.Testing management; checking specifications, preparing testing plans, interacting withthe relevant parties in order to make sure the testing is carried out correctly, plotting the test locations, preparing drawings and spreadsheets with the necessary information for contractors and clients with regards to locations.

During my time at university, I gained a significant amount of laboratory experience, including chemical and biochemical processes and ballistics experiments too. I also had practice in forensic sample collection and analytical tools and techniques. To name but a few, I have used Mass Spectrometers, Atomic Absorption Spectrometers, Raman Spectrometers, and Ultraviolet-Visible Spectrophotometers.In nearly all of my experiments I was required to keep detailed contemporaneous notes of my actions, thoughts, problems, and any results I collected. As well as this, I had to produce scientific essays and reports on my own projects and experiments, colloquiums, and historical disasters. I also gained some team leader skills in my final year, with several assignments aimed at managing both teams and resources.Many assignments and experiments had to be completed whilst working in a team, ranging from paired work to a team of five or six. This helped my communication skills, as well as effective time and effort management. I also joined both the Forensic Science society and the Space society, which allowed for further communication and non-conventional learning, as well as lasting personal relationships.

On a practical level, my work in a student bar has given me experience in customer interaction, cash handling, food handling, stock replenishment, and general thorough cleaning duties.It has also aided in the development of my communication skills, particularly through customer interaction, and my ability to work well within a team. It also helped to improve my ability to work under pressure on busy, understaffed nights. I was also involved in informal training and directing of new members of staff.
