As the highest ranking member of the Operational Support Hub in Kurdistan, Iraq, I was responsible and accountable for the maintenance, defense, and care of Department of National Defense properties, assets, and residents while deployed on Canadian Armed Forces Operation IMPACT Rotation 4.Acted as Canadian Armed Forces Liaison Officer to a multinational formation in support of Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR). Worked closely providing support to and with the Canadian National Support Element, Canadian Special Operations Forces, Canadian Air Task Force operations, US Army National Support Elements, US Naval Expeditionary Role 3 Field Hospital leadership, and local Kurdish economic leaders to set the conditions for stability operations in the local region.Responsible for a multi-million dollar budget while managing and creating dozens of contracts in order to provide support and maintain DND property and assets, including requirements from the construction of camp defenses, to rental vehicles, to multi-variant diesel generator maintenance. Worked closely with integral experts to develop contracting requirements and liaised directly with local economic leaders in order to meet camp requirements.
