Manufacturing Team Lead
CurrentI manage over 30 skilled machinist who operate Mazak and Mori Multitasking Mill Turn machines and Live Turn Lathes, as well as multiple variations of Mazak and Mori Mills. We have collaborative cells that utilized Fanuc Cobots for automated cells and processes. I handle day to day scheduling of personnel and work though the machines based on customer and internal scheduling and demand throughout the facility. Some daily responsibilities include, verifying and signing off completed jobs, editing tooling or programs when needed, training personnel on machines and processes, working together with other departments, reprimanding personnel as needed, staffing and scheduling, communicating company/department needs, tracking department KPI's alongside company KPI's. and helping wherever help is needed. My role as a Team Lead at Acutec is to keep the department running efficiently and continuing to provide the tools necessary to allow the team members to continue to learn and excel in their profession. I continuously look for ways to improve our processes and stress the importance of Quality in the work we do.
