I have over 6 years of experience in writing custom applications for useful purposes, however, only one year is truly professional. These software is primarily code that I use for my personal purposes, but that proves that my code is at least a little more useful than code that no one uses.Because I pride myself in picking the correct tool for the job, the applications I write are built from a wide range of programming languages such as scripts written in bash, python, and php; more traditional compiled programs written in languages such as C, C#, or (my favorite) haskell; and even using powerful technologies such as git, nginx, docker, and various databases so as not to reinvent the wheel when unnecessary.In my professional work I have managed a code base for a small local insurance company. For over a year I have maintained their code. My achievements include:Moving the code into version control (git)Updating the code base from depreciated versions of .NetImplementing changes that had depreciated (i.e. the microsoft exchange oath migration at the end of 2022)Prototyping their main application as a web application using Blazor and the .Net API servers.This work was a great experienced because I was able to demonstrate my effectiveness and capability as a developer and also learn a GREAT deal about Microsoft's developer ecosystem.
