About Nicholas Soures
Ph.D. candidate focused on artificial intelligence and computational neuroscience with a background in physics and computer engineering. My research has explored adapting bio-inspired mechanisms to develop novel machine learning algorithms with a focus on efficient algorithms for AI accelerators and edge applications. A few projects I have been involved with have been co-design of spike-based machine learning models and neuromorphic hardware, activity recognition from video, exploring feature extraction in various autoencoders for transfer learning, gating, and multi-task classification, and combining an LSTM with epidemic modelling for COVID19 spread forecasting. My particular research interests are in bio-inspired AI, energy efficient AI, virtual reality, and lifelong learning.
Listed skills include Teamwork, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and 8 others.
