Nicholas Stein is a Producer/Engineer/Musician & Composer with 10 years of experience working in the music, motion picture and animation industry. His professional experience is built on the foundation he received from his Diploma in Sound Engineering from SAE Institute's School of Engineering and his Bachelors Degree from Academy of Art University's Motion Picture, Sound & Television program. During his career as a sound engineer he has worked at various commercial and private recordings studios tracking, mixing, mastering, producing and collaborating with a breadth of artists. His credits include projects for Mitch Ryder (The Detroit Wheels), Greg Brown (Cake), Michael Urbano (Todd Rundgren), Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman) Tony Cotrell (Mos Def) Cherie Currie (Runaways) and Bryan Mantia (Bootsy Collins). Most recently Nicholas tracked and mixed a record for James Williamson, guitarist of legendary proto-punk outfit 'The Stooges'. The album is slated for release through Cleopatra Records later this year and has been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine.Last year Nicholas composed/produced a series of instrumentals for "Humm.ly" a budding new music therapy application. During his contract they were recognized among "Best Music Therapy Apps 2019" by AppleMusic, and received write ups by The Grammy Awards, Forbes Magazine and The Huffington Post.In 2018 Grammy nominated producer Jason Carmer hired Nicholas to score an independent feature film in Mexico City. Nicholas was responsible for delivering roughly 70 minutes of written material including working demos. The film was screened at the Berlin Film Festival.Nicholas is passionate about his work and is committed to delivering the highest quality sonics to every project he works on.
