I started working in the hardwood lumber industry after I graduated high school in 2010. I began piling lumber like most others that start in the business. I was able to work my way to tallying lumber in a short amount of time. My interest has since grown as I had ran our KD line, and working on our stacker machine. From there, I began operating a forklift in 2012. I have loaded and unloaded our KD line, stacker, green chain, loaded and unloaded kilns, and have some experience loading flatbed trucks. My father worked at the same facility I worked at for 25 years. Most of that was during my childhood. I always remember him talking about work and how intrigued I was at a young age. I decided to branch out and take a new path in January of 2023. I started working for GrafTech International at their St Marys, PA facility. I worked in the Graphitization building of the facility. There, they turn the green carbon electrodes into graphite by induction heating to high temperatures in specialized furnaces. In March of 2024, I accepted a new position with McKean County Department of Emergency Services in Pennsylvania as a full time 911 Dispatcher.
