I am a California State University San Marcos alumnus who majored in accounting. My passion is to be a part of a team capable of delivering strong results in hospitality. I have been managing restaurants for almost ten years. I have led and been responsible for teams between 20-150 people. The businesses I have been involved in have generated between 5-30 million dollars in annual revenue. My decision for obtaining an accounting degree was to become multi-dimensional by taking my operational skills and combining them with a strong financial mindset allowing me to market my unique skillset further. My knowledge of small businesses, especially the bar and restaurant industry grants me the ability to make well-thought-out business decisions. The teams I have led in the past have met the sales goals of the company while developing future leaders to meet the demands of the business. Some of the strengths I have gained from managing restaurants are communication, approachability, and flexibility. I use these example strengths to relate to co-workers and take a “never forget where you came from” approach.Lastly, as of 2022, I am the President of The Balanced Bookkeeper LLC. My business is focusing on providing excellent and knowledgeable accounting services to small businesses. Some of the services that I provide are monthly/quarterly/annual bookkeeping, sales tax filing, payroll processing, QuickBooks training, and small business consulting.
