About Nicholas Walker
Nicholas is the team leader for engineering geology comprising 14 members. His experience has focused on flood remediation projects, major site investigations, geological interpretation at dams sites, geotechnical modelling in 2D and 3D, design, and project management. These projects have include major infrastructure projects such as the Sydney Metro packages (Technical Advisor), SRAPC (corridor manager - parklands), M7 (Geotechnical lead), open cast mines (lead inspector), numerous dams, and other varied projects. The works have involved soil and rock characterization, slope risk assessments, optioneering, concept & detailed design, emergency works, CPS, supervision and cost estimation. Nicholas has provided geotechnical and geological consultancy services to various coal mines in the Hunter Valley for 12 years and is currently involved in a major mine closure project. Nicholas has an extensive Health & Safety background. He is involved in mentoring other engineers. A cultural leader in the company and maintains a positive attitude through out.
