First and foremost, I want to help people. I think that is why anyone chooses to go into the healthcare profession. Moreover, I want to give people the resources and knowledge that allow them to function at their maximum capacity. I am a certified athletic trainer obtaining a doctorate in physical therapy at Rockhurst University. Being an athletic trainer, I have a solid background in on-field diagnosis of injuries and emergency care. I have completed extensive observation hours in all of the American major sports, along with some experience in rifling and competitive equestrian. I am published in my undergraduate research literature review of a novel ACL repair technique known as BEAR-ACL repair. As a physical therapy student, I wish to advance my knowledge in diagnosing injuries and gain a better sense of treating the whole patient. I would like to continue my education in the realm of sports therapy, but my mind is open as I continue through clinical experience.
