Since graduating Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management from Quinnipiac University in 2010, I’ve been building my career as an entrepreneur, artist, educator, & coach. Driven by my passions, goals, & a naturally high need for achievement, I am very proactive in working hard to live my purpose in my personal & professional life on a daily basis. Having multiple interests & passions that I strive to have equal success with, I am always doing various things at once & constantly working toward the next job or project. That being said, balance, persistence, diligence, & consistency are things I consciously strive for & practice daily. Open mindedness & adaptability are also crucial. It is because of these skills, as well as my experiences from growing up in the entertainment & performing arts worlds, that I have obtained a strong desire & knack for creativity, originality, & refinement. Additionally, my degree has allowed me to identify unique areas of business ideas that incorporate my passion for entertainment & the arts with my business education & entrepreneurial spirit. Some of my many entrepreneurial ideas have already taken shape, while others are slowly beginning to form into more concrete future business ventures. I am currently in the process of working on several small projects with friends & colleagues, with the hope that they will soon come to life. Since moving to Los Angeles, CA in 2011, I have been able to work professionally as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, adjudicator, host, & actor; I've been able to work on the business side of things as a director, producer, manager, & event organizer for several small companies & their projects; and I've also been fortunate enough to work as a personal coach & consultant for several individual artists as well, helping them to better navigate & manage their lives, careers, & finances. It's my hope & dream to use my education, experiences, resources, & skill sets to create & build several businesses, whether on my own or in collaboration with other like minded individuals, most of which will revolve in or around the entertainment & performing arts industries and all of which will hopefully make a positive impact on the lives of others. A massive proponent of self growth and personal development, I am consistently focused on being a student, always aiming to learn new things, acquire more knowledge, insights, and perspectives, and develop new skills. Some day I would love to become a college professor to share what I have learned with others.

Owner | Dance Choreographer, Instructor, & Educator / Lifestyle, Career, & Personal Finance CoachNakoa Network, Llc Feb 2016 - PresentLos Angeles, CaliforniaNAKOA Network, LLC was founded in February 2016 in order to start building my own personal brand as an entrepreneur & creative professional, artist, educator, & coach. While I am eager for the company to grow, at the moment, I am the sole owner, as well as it's only employee. That being said, all of the services that NAKOA offers & provides, as well as the responsibilities that come along with owning & running a business, fall upon my shoulders. For the time being, NAKOA is mainly focused on providing educational based services, primarily revolving around dance, choreography, & performance, for children & pre-professional artists, both in the classroom & on stage, all over the country. It is my goal, however, to eventually expand this company to cover an array of services through several different business sectors. These branches will include artistic lifestyle, career, & financial preparation, coaching, & management, entertainment productions for film, tv, & stage, & apparel/merchandise brand design.

Personal & Business Finance Teacher & Coach / Hip Hop FacultyCli Studios, Inc. Sep 2021 - PresentEasthampton, Massachusetts, United StatesCLI Studios, based in Los Angeles, CA recently started a new program for aspiring professional dancers called the CLI Conservatory. The conservatory is directed by my cousin, a co-founder & co-owner of CLI Studios, & it is hosted at our family's dance studio in Easthampton, MA. The program began its inaugural year in the fall of 2021 & I was brought on board to teach seminars, courses, & classes to the students primarily focused around personal & business finance. I've also had the chance to share some of my choreography in the classroom with these talented dancers in being one of the many distinguished hip hop teachers a part of the faculty. This new, innovative program is sure to become a huge success in helping to bridge the gap for aspiring artists to go from pre-professional to professional working dancers. I'm excited to be a part of it! -

Hip Hop & Gymnastics Teacher/ChoreographerThe Hackworth School Of Performing Arts Jul 2001 - PresentEasthampton, Massachusetts, United StatesHSPA is the studio I grew up at & the studio that my great grandfather started back in 1934. It has been in my family for 4 generations now & my mom & aunt are the current co-owners & co-directors, who have now been at the helm for 30+ years. They were my main teachers growing up & while I trained as a dancer & gymnast with them in the classroom, outside of the classroom I was simultaneously being trained to choreograph, teach, lead classes, work with children, & spot gymnastics skills. I started choreographing with my cousin around the age of 12 & later that year we co-taught our first hip hop class. I've been in love with choreographing & teaching ever since. I continued to train as a dancer, while also training as a choreographer & teacher, with my mom & my aunt until I graduated college & made the move to Los Angeles, CA. When teaching, I lead children of all ages & levels through 1-1.5 hour classes. For hip hop, I typically start each class with a warm up & some stretching, & then go on to work with students on learning & picking up choreography; classes finish with practicing what was created & taught over & over with music. For gymnastics & tumbling, I usually start each class with a similar warm up & stretching routine, followed by working on progressive skills, & finishing with strength & conditioning drills to train students' bodies in a healthy, productive way. In doing these things, I like to think I help students not only grow in their abilities to dance, learn choreography, & do gymnastics & acrobatic skills correctly & safely, but that I also aid in teaching some important life lessons as well, such as perseverance, focus, discipline, motivation, hard work, teamwork, encouragement, appreciation, respect, trust, & most of all, passion & love. Teaching is something I truly love, enjoy, & feel very confident & comfortable doing. This is in large part due to the work & success I've had throughout my life at HSPA under the wings of my family.

Professional Dancer/Actor/Singer/Model/EntertainerClear Talent Group, La Sep 2014 - Jan 2017Los Angeles, California, United StatesClear Talent Group represented me as a professional dancer, choreographer, actor, singer, model, & entertainer. They submitted me primarily for dance related jobs, whether that be for film, television, stage/live performances, music videos, industrials, or print/media that require a dancer's skills &/or looks. I frequently got sent out on auditions for acting, singing, & modeling related gigs as well. Unfortunately, I really didn't go on a ton of auditions while with CTG, so I didn't have the opportunity to book many jobs. This was mainly due to the fact that my teaching & choreography career was really starting to take off during this time period, so most of my focus was on that side of my career. Nonetheless, I still had a great experience being represented by this top dance agency & appreciate all the agents there did to help support & further my career as a dancer. -

It was an all encompassing position that required working in just about every capacity of business.

Hip Hop & Tumbling Teacher/ChoreographerRelevé Studios Feb 2013 - Jun 2016Los Angeles, California, United StatesRelevé Studios is a dance school that focuses on educating children ages 2-18 in the art of dance, music, & acting. I was on staff as a hip hop & tumbling teacher/choreographer & taught multiple levels of classes in each of these styles every week to students ages 9-18. I would always start classes with a warm-up & stretch, followed by either: teaching the kids a short routine or grouping of steps that we were going to be working on that day (for hip hop classes); or working with the kids on their strength, conditioning, flexibility, & acrobatic skills through a series of drills & exercises that progressively get more challenging as we get further into class (for tumbling classes). In the spring time, from about January to June, we began to work on routines for the studio's annual recital. I would choreograph, stage, & put these routines together with the kids in my classes each week & at the end of the season, they would perform for their family, friends, & peers over a weekend of shows in June.

Dance Choreographer/Instructor/EducatorMovement Talent Agency (Mta) Jun 2013 - Jun 2014Los Angeles, California, United StatesMTA represented me as a dance choreographer, instructor, & educator & worked alongside me for about a year in helping to continue to progress my dance choreography & teaching career. While we only had the chance to work on a couple of projects together, the agents at MTA were incredibly supportive of my talents & abilities & gave me some great advice during my time being represented by them. They also helped get me booked for my first ever class on a bigger national convention, LA Dance Magic (LADM), which I taught at their summer nationals event in 2013. Teaching to a ballroom full of about 200-300 young, hungry, talented dancers for the first time was a moment I'll never forget! -

Executive DirectorGeneration Iv Dance Sep 2010 - Oct 2012Easthampton, Massachusetts, United StatesGeneration IV is a summer dance event held every summer in Western Massachusetts. Participants take part in a weeklong intensive program, in which they take classes with some of the top choreographers & dance educators in the industry & get the opportunity to perform what they learned alongside these choreographers at the conclusion of the event at the historical Academy of Music in Northampton, MA. In helping to create this summer dance intensive with my family in July 2010, my role was an integral part of the establishment, development, organization, & growth of this company. As the Executive Director, I had a tremendous amount of responsibility on my shoulders: I oversaw & managed all the administrative aspects of the company, including all the day-today business operations, activities, & transactions involved in running the business prior to, during, & follow the event each year; I created financial projections & utilized them to properly budget for each year's event; I tracked all financial transactions & was responsible for handling all the finances; I helped market, promote, & advertise the event each year by creating, using, & managing the company's website, social media channels, brochures, & press releases; I handled all the logistics of coordinating each summer's event, from researching, negotiating, & booking contracts for all facilities used, to scheduling all the classes, rehearsals, & performances for 5 different levels & age groups, to helping book the faculty, staff, & volunteers & making all the necessary travel arrangements they needed; to organizing the out of town students into dorm rooms; to helping place students into their correct levels for classes & performance pieces, & more; I responded to emails daily, answering questions about the event for parents & students alike. There were many moving parts, but I'm very proud of the systems I helped create & put in place during my time here, many of which still help the company operate today.

Following their premier performance, Shaping Sound & it's company members went on to star in one season of their very own TV show on Oxygen entitled "All the Right Moves," which followed the company's journey & process to put together a second show directly following the success of the first. Later, Shaping Sound went on to do two successful national tours around the US & Canada.

Intern/Financial RepresentativeNorthwestern Mutual Jun 2010 - Dec 2010Westport, Connecticut, United StatesStarting off as an intern at The Bender Financial Group of NMFN straight out of college, I was eager to learn more about the financial services industry, as I've always loved personal finance & I really enjoyed learning about investment strategies a bit in college. Upon signing on to this internship, I immediately began a 6-week in house training program to learn more about the company, to get familiar with all the products & services it offered, & what I would need to do in order to become a successful financial representative. Shortly following the training program, I studied for, took, & passed the CT state exam to become a licensed financial advisor who could sell financial products & services & advise clients around such areas as risk management, wealth accumulation, & estate planning & I could sell products & services pertaining, but not limited to, life insurance, annuities, retirement accounts, & various other investments & protections. Upon receiving my license, I hit the ground running & quickly found success in bringing value to clients by taking them through a thoughtful, articulate process in which, with the help of my mentor, we came up with recommendations of products & services that best suited their financial needs, which were backed by a prominent industry leader in Northwestern Mutual. With hard work & help from my mentor, Brian Pritchard, I was able to become the office's top earning intern during my time with the company. -

Intern/Agent AssistantBloc Talent Agency Inc. Jan 2009 - Apr 2009Los Angeles, California, United StatesWhile interning at Bloc during my domestic exchange program through Boston University, I mainly served as an assistant to the 8 talent agents that worked in the office. I had many secretarial duties, including answering phones; taking messages; making calls & sending emails to our clients about upcoming auditions & information regarding projects they were currently working on; reading & keeping up with some of the daily dance trades to stay up-to-date on industry news & upcoming projects to look out for; going through each day's mail-in submissions from dancers looking for representation to see if there was any promising talent we should look into contacting; & anything else the agents needed me to do in order to help them run the office & find our clients new work. I was also assigned an important project that needed to be done in order to benefit our clients & their future careers. Bloc used several websites to help promote their artists & book jobs for them. To use these sites most effectively, all of our talent needed to have a presence on each site, or a "profile," so to speak, which contained their resume, headshots, & video reels. Most of our clients, however, either had neither of these things posted to their name or what they did have was completely outdated. Therefore, my assignment was to update & upload Bloc's client roster & each client's resume & headshots onto each of the sites Bloc used. This was a long-lasting, extremely time consuming project that required tremendous organization, careful analysis, & strong reading/writing skills. It also called for a large amount of research & knowledge about the sites being used, the most creative & effective format ideas to organize each client's portfolio with, & each individual clients & the work they've done in the past. It took most of the semester to do, but by the time my internship concluded, I had input & updated between 200-300 clients, along with their resumes, headshots, & video reels to each site. -
Intern/Digital Marketing AssistantSony Music Entertainment Jan 2009 - Apr 2009Beverly Hills, California, United StatesWhile interning at Sony during my domestic exchange program through Boston University, I served as an assistant to & a member of the Digital Media, Marketing, & Promotion Team for Epic Records. My tasks mainly consisted of using social media sites, such as Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr & Imeem, to help promote & market some of Sony's many big artists. I also spent a good deal of time tracking the traffic to each of these sites for each individual artist my team managed, as well as searching music forums & blogs for any news or mentioning of our artists (good or bad) that might affect their image in the press & public's eye. A few of the artists for which I was responsible for completing these tasks for included: Jennifer Lopez, Brandy, Good Charlotte, The White Tie Affair, & Nipsey Hussle, to name a few.
