Established relationships with influencers in the CFPB, FHFA, the FTC and other Federal organizations.

Recruited a dream team of technology astronauts to invent, design and build multiple moonshot frameworks and products. I dreamt, launched and led Finicity’s Data Services business using Mvelopes’ Data Aggregation platform which connected to over 14,000 banks. The incubation of this new Data Services business led to a major pivot of Finicity to become the North American leader in Open Finance connectivity and use cases.Product launches I led during this phase include the new UltraFICO score, Experian Boost, and the Fannie Mae Day1Certainty/Freddie Mac AIM certified Verification product suite that includes Verification of Income, Assets, Employment and Finicitys Cash-Flow Underwriting solutions for SMB lenders. Prior to launching Data Services, I led the redesign and rewrite of Mvelopes mobile apps for iOS and Android and an AR version for Google Glass.

The Trust over IP Foundation is defining a complete architecture for Internet-scale digital trust that combines both cryptographic trust at the machine layer and human trust at the business, legal, and social layers.

Invited by the CEO to represent Modo shareholders as an outside director. I co-chaired a special committee to restructure the company from an LLC to C-Corp, cleaning the Cap table to prepare for the next phase of growth. Stepped down following the MA acquisition of Finicity.Modo enables companies to rapidly integrate with and simplify management of payment service providers, payment networks, and local payment methods around the world while streamlining settlement, reconciliation, reporting and analytics.

Komodo is a carrier-class network analytics and user experience (QoE measurement) platform. Through its physical and virtual probes, Komodo offers a cost-effective solution to monitor real-time and historical network KPI’s and end-user application performance in the wireless airspace (WIFI, LTE, DAS, 5G).I was a member of the founding team, creating the business, business model, product strategy and go to market pilot for the Komodo Eye and monitoring services. We merged the company with another who took on the Komodo name.

I led global IT, supporting operations in 15 countries, and launched a new suite of mobile/web business management apps and services for distributors around the globe.

Finicity phase 1: I led the design, development, launch, scaling, hyper-growth, and multiple pivots of Mvelopes, the first subscription-based, web+mobile personal finance platform. Product received numerous awards in the pre-fintech era, including PC World product of the year. Developed over 14K integrations with banks on the Teknowledge Data Aggregation platform, stood up aggregation services at Intuit following their acquisition of Teknowledge, and led the migration to formatted data sources vs screen scraping to improve data quality. Mvelopes was Finicity phase 1.

I co-founded the Bluetooth Special Interest Group as one of the 9 original Directors (Promoters), representing 3Com/Palm. I served as Board secretary and actively evangelized adoption and membership in the Bluetooth ecosystem globally. The Bluetooth SIG has grown from passionate individuals representing the 9 founding companies (Ericsson, Intel, Nokia, IBM, Toshiba, Motorola, Lucent, Microsoft, and 3Com/Palm) to over 50,000 member companies and tens of thousands of individual contributors. I was a contributor to the Bluetooth technical specification, transforming the original serial data protocol to an IP-based system (PAN Profile).Lastly, I helped stand up the Bluetooth Qualification Review Board, a product certification program which created use-case-based certification of products through testing at Bluetooth SIG certified labs. This framework enabled global product interoperability without explicit multi-manufacturer testing ahead of the launch of a new product into the Bluetooth ecosystem.

I was recruited by a newly tapped GM as the Founding Engineer for 3Coms new Wireless Division. With one foot in product development and the other as an industry evangelist, I launched our first Bluetooth product while serving on the founding Bluetooth SIG Promoter Board (BoD) and represented the team at IEEE 802.11 (Wi-Fi) Working Group meetings.

I designed modem, LAN, and wireless devices for laptop PCs. I contributed to over a dozen product launches in staff engineering and engineering leadership roles, building modems compliant with various PSTN standards in dozens of countries.
