Capacity Planning - Introduced capacity planning so we could predict what part of our infrastructure was going to fail first and how much traffic we could handle. Multi-tenant architecture - Helped design and created multiple versions of our application and multiple database read replicas for different parts of the applications to use. Rider, juicer, and ops all had their own application with their own horizontal scaling and an isolated read replica. Release tool - Created a release tool with Python, CircleCi, Django, Mysql, bash, and Kubernetes to help employees release and rollback independently. Kubernetes - Managed Kubernetes cluster for the company. Did config tuning and resource management, and multiple cluster switchovers to upgrade Kubernetes. Created Staging and Production clusters in order to have stable deployments. Docker/Kubernetes Applications - Made multiple Docker and Kubernetes applications for the company so teams could run their applications on the Kubernetes Platform. Monitoring - Used datadog to track the health of our cluster and applications using APM and custom metrics. Setup multiple dashboards to track health. Performance Enhancement - Setup mysql constraints to reduce database crashes. Reduced execution time of numerous queries from 10-20 seconds to less than 5 seconds. Worked across teams to reduce these queries to make our databases more stable.
