HR & Development Manager, NHS July 2003 - April 2004Responsible for the day-to-day management of the NHS graduate scheme within London, including the performance management of 80 trainees and managing relationships with 40 NHS Trusts, working with Chief Executives, Directors and Senior Managers in Operations and Financial Management. • Took a lead role in creating a more effective appraisal/trainee performance management process. • Managed a team; hit targets for regional recruitment quotas; managed disciplinary matters.

Centrica Plc. HR Manager - Resourcing & Development October 2000 – June 2003Responsible for HR management of the graduate scheme: • Developed and implemented a performance management system, competency alignment, employee relations, talent management / development, assessment centre development and facilitation, interviewing, online recruitment and administration systems procurement and design, and recruitment marketing - web design, branding. • Led the growth of the scheme from a pilot involving 500 applicants a year and 10 trainees to a scheme receiving 8,000 enquiries and hiring 55 trainees. Worked with Directors and Senior Managers in a variety of functional areas across the Centrica brands, managing relationships, influenced leaders and the scheme’s day-to-day operations. • Managed a budget of £600,000 pa; managed a team of six HR professionals. • Graduate employer branding award from the Association of Graduate Recruiters in July 2002.
