As part of the United Kingdom's Science and Innovation Network, I work to stimulate strategic science and technology partnerships between government, academia, and industry: • Emerging tech sector lead within US team, developing strategy, coordinating activity, and managing a long-term portfolio of funded activities across 7 offices. • Identify, develop and support collaborative research opportunities in the Southwest USA. Recent activities have focused on robotics, AI, quantum technology, advanced transportation, space, and agri-tech.• Work closely with Trade, Investment, and Business Development teams to attract hi-tech businesses and research projects to the UK, and enable UK scientists to access world leading US facilities and capital.• Develop a wide range of high-level contacts within industry, academia, and research bodies.About the Science and Innovation Network:An initiative of the UK Government, Global Science and Innovation Network (SIN)consists of 90 staff, based in 35 countries around the world. SIN officers work with the local science and innovation community in support of UK policy overseas. They create important relationships to best use the value of science and innovation discoveries and investments overseas. • Managed $50 million in multiple new business programs for aerospace component supplier• Coordinated design, production, and qualification of fuel, hydraulic, and gas couplings while ensuring customer needs are met. Programs include composite electrical isolator tubes, composite waste tube assembly, composite hydraulic isolator fittings, high temperature tube connector seal, and couplings able to withstand lightning strike.• Developed, using input from Engineering, Operations, and Marketing, technical proposals for new business programs. Identified and addressed areas of customer concern.• Coordinated commercial proposals and pricing analysis. • Worked with upper management to develop multi-year commercial proposals to aircraft OEMs

• Consulting Engineering for the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Chemical Industries• Designed and specified HVAC systems for the pharmaceutical industry, including cGMP, potent compound, and API facilities. • Projects include the retrofit of an existing pilot plant AHU resulting in improved pressurization and temperature control and the preliminary design of a 60000 sq. ft. potent compound facility.• Designed and specified chiller systems, cooling towers, instrumentation, and control systems.
