WHAT I DOI am am driven, educated, and adaptable professional. I currently work as a Fire Suppression Technician (FST) with the El Paso Fire Department. I am responsible for the operation and maintenance of the structural fire fighting apparatus I am assigned to. When my officer is absent I am expected to operate in his capacity administratively, operationally, and as a leader.MY CAREER JOURNEYMy life has revolved around public service since the beginning of my professional career. I started off as a lifeguard before becoming an EMT-Basic., paramedic, and a firefighter with the El Paso Fire Department (EPFD.) Four years into my career I was selected to attend the United States Marine Corps' (USMC) Officer Candidate School. I was also fortunate enough to be selected at the conclusion of this course and was commissioned as a USMC Officer. After being assigned to 2nd Battalion, 6th Marines, an infantry battalion, and some extensive experience, four years had passed, and I had completed my tour with the Marines. After a deployment to the Middle East and various recognitions for my service and performance I had completed my contrat and returned to EPFD to finish my remaining service time to meet retirement requirements.WHAT I OFFERI offer leadership skills, first and foremost, unmatched drive, and a diverse set of talents. Throughout my career in public service I have been faced with countless intense, stressful, high-pressure scenarios in which I have had to act on knowledge, experience, and at times with instinct. I have successfully navigated those scenarios and have continued to push my education and career forward. I regularly begin my day at 0400 in the morning in order to make progress or complete what is most critical to me in that period of my life. This has allowed me to flex extra hours in my day in order to complete a task or volume of tasks in my most challenging roles in my professional career. When those roles are not as time demanding, I use the time for education or pushing my small business forward. I have been forced to develop a wide array of skills which some have evolved into talents. Whether it is operating under stress, furniture design, data management, or operating as an officer or manager, I have adapted to meet the challenges. MY CAREER GOALS1. Complete my required service time with the El Paso Fire Department.2. Progress my small business into a luxury furniture company.3. Start a career as a Software Project Manager
